Nowy Styl at ORGATEC 2026. Designing Spaces with Quiet in Mind

09 of September '26

How can we design workspaces where people can focus and disconnect from sensory overload? At ORGATEC 2026, one of the world’s most important events dedicated to the future of offices and workspaces, the brands Nowy Styl and Kusch+Co will explore the role of silence in modern offices. Under the theme “Playing with silence,” as many as twenty new products will be unveiled, including a new category of acoustic booths.

The next edition of the ORGATEC trade show will take place in Cologne from October 27 to 30, 2026. Every two years, leading brands, architects, designers, and industry experts gather in Cologne to showcase office furniture, acoustic solutions, lighting, technologies, interior design systems, and new concepts for work organization. This year, Nowy Styl and Kusch+Co will present a joint exhibition under the theme “Playing with silence.” The presentation will focus on acoustics and its importance for everyday office life.

The Silence We Need at Work

According to data cited by Nowy Styl, over 60 percent of employees cite noise as one of the factors affecting their comfort at work. That is why, during ORGATEC, the company wants to draw attention not only to the types of sounds that occur in the office but also to ways of reducing them. “Playing with silence” is intended to serve as a starting point for showcasing solutions that help create a more diverse work environment, with space for concentration, conversation, and moments of quiet.

Acoustic booths make their debut in Nowy Styl’s portfolio

One of the most important launches will be a new product category from Nowy Styl: acoustic booths. In Cologne, the company will present the Ace line for the first time, available in four variants, ranging from a single-person booth to the multi-person XL version. The booths have an acoustic class of A and are designed for situations where greater privacy or reduction of ambient noise is needed. Acoustics will also be a feature in other products displayed at the booth. These will include Sileo—acoustic panels for walls and ceilings—and Sileo Evo—a solution designed for workstations and workbench-style spaces.

20 product launches

In total, Nowy Styl and Kusch+Co will showcase 20 product launches at ORGATEC. These will include acoustic solutions, new swivel chairs, and soft seating products. The new offerings also include materials and finishes. Among the new materials will be the Matek furniture board—made from coffee waste—and the Oceanic fabric, which contains plastic retrieved from the ocean floor.

During the trade show, Nowy Styl will also present the report “Playing with Silence,” dedicated to a new perspective on design—specifically, the role of acoustics in the workplace and the importance of silence from the perspective of office space users.

What’s next for the product?

At ORGATEC, Nowy Styl will also showcase projects related to the reuse of products and materials. As part of the use2 “Second Life” program, the company presents its approach to extending the life of products and finding new uses for them. Visitors to the trade show will also be able to see the results of the re:think competition. Among the winning designs are three prototypes: LYNKA by Sascha Sartory, MONO by Daniel Streilein and Henry Boy, and Re System by Nick Geipel and Moritz Walter. The booth will also feature products recognized in this year’s Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026. Awards were presented to Scadio and Prox by Nowy Styl, and Smile by Kusch+Co.
